Featured as cover girl on the Spring 2004 edition of Fido Friendly and raved about in the Winter 2003 edition of Bark Magazine, ChícPet is the hot new accessories line that is currently taking over Hollywood. Designed by fine jewelers exclusively for pets and their owners, ChícPet is being worn by Jullian Barberie, Pamela Anderson, Salma Hayek, Angelica Houston, Charlize Theron, Hillary Swank, Ed Norton, Ben Stiller, Chyna Phillips, Rikki Rockett, William Baldwin, Linda Blair, and Animal Planet host Aileen Avery who adores her silver cat pendant. Even the queen of television herself, Oprah has ChícPet engraved dog tags for her cocker spaniels. The ChícPet line was inspried by the ultra hip, super-sexy miniature pincher named Delilah, (who was on the runway alongside models of celebrity designer Elisabetta Rogiani and her latest collection at a recent fashion event).
Delilah's parents, Lisa and Lou Skoby, fine jewelers by trade, searched unsuccessfully from Beverly Hills to Honolulu to find exactly what they envisioned. Unable to find a hip, high-quality pendant for their min-pin, they finally designed and manufactured it themselves. Before they knew it, they had created a unique niche market that bridged the gap from animal accessories to high-end fashion jewelry for pets and their owners. Today, ChícPet can barely fill the high volume of orders for the .925 Sterling silver pieces.
ChícPet knows it's not only about looking stylish, but being actively involved in, and supporting charity organizations in the Los Angeles community, including Last Chance for Animals, Pet Orphans Adoptions, Best Friends Sanctuary, New Leash on Life, Pet Adoption Fund, Pals 2 Pets, and The American Cancer Society, just to name a few. ChícPet caught the eye of celebrity pet photographer and author, Chris Amerouso ("Celebrities and Their Pets," "Bark at the Moon-the Osbourne's Pets") for his dog Stella. ChícPet is also a proud sponsor of "Pets and their Stars" a 2004 calendar with all proceeds to be donated to Last Chance for Animals. The calendar was photographed by In Touch magazine's celebrity pet columnist Chris Amerouso, who sums it up prefectly by claiming "ChícPet rocks!"
